Good Luck SsangYong Relaunch

SsangYong is now ready to relaunch itself in the UK. Scehucled for September SSangYong will introduce  its new Korando crossover. SSangYong Has bounced back The brand who had traditionally traded well in the UK had to be completely restructured in 2009 after falling in to receivership. Thankfully  SSangYong did not have to wait long and secured a massive deal with Mahindrea & Mahindra a large Indian Company in 2010 who now have a huge investment in the company. The crossover market is big and getting even bigger with the likes of Bentley pleading to enter the market. So where better to re-invent yourself?  The Korando will start at £16,995, will be competing with some of our firm favorites. Cars like the Kia Sportage, Hyundai ix35, Mitsubishi ASX and the newly crown king of the crossovers Nissan Qashqai. Paul Williams,  UK importer, SsangYong Motor UK, said: “Korando is a great value proposition, and arrives in the highly competitive crossover market at absolutely the right time. Very keenly priced, a comprehensive list of standard equipment, excellent towing capability and thanks to its long wheelbase a spacious and airy interior, Korando is the clever choice for families and those who tow a caravan, horsebox or trailer.” It will also be interesting to see how the rest of the motoring world and the all important glass’s and cap guides view the new model and infact the...

Good Move Chrysler

Chrysler UK are joining the like of the Volkswagen group,  BMW and other prestige manufacturers in publishing their customer satisfaction results in real time on the Internet. In fact Chrysler UK has launched a nationwide scheme in the using the Motor Codes government backed ‘code survey’. This means that each week customers the length and breath of the UK will be asked to take part in a short survey following a visit to the service department. So if its been a routine service or a major repair each and every customer will be asked to rate the garage and its performance. Dealers and possible new customers will see a live ‘satisfaction score’ appear on their own Motor Codes profile page which should help customers to make an informed choice about where to take their cars based on real life feedback from real customers. So imagine that before you book your next service you can see real time feedback comments on the dealership.? Warts and all. It does however show confidence in the brands dealer network . This will also reward dealerships that really do look after their customers with an increase in customers and loyalty. This is a brave move by Chrysler and one that I think we will all agree will really help the brand raise awarness as well as showing an air of transparancey. Aftre all these...

What are Excluded Vehicles and what dose it mean

Excluded vehicles means certain makes and models that the insurance company will not provide gap insurance for. This could be for any number of reasons but you need to make sure that your vehicle is not included. In most cases your gap insurance provider will list the vehicles that are excluded but there are some surprising differences. For example we found a gap insurance provider that would provide gap insurance for Porsche , Ferrari, Bentley and Aston Martin  but would not provide cover for any type of Lamborghini. Why do gap insurance companies exclude certain types of vehicles? Insurance is all about risk, some vehicles unfortunately are more of a risk than others. As you can imagine when a Maserati is stolen and written off the cost to the gap insurance company is very very high compared with say a Honda Jazz.  Specialist vehicles can also be exceptionally hard to value. There are many reasons why a particular vehicle or manufacture may be on a excluded vehicles list so if you are in any doubt as to the eligibility of your vehicle why not call your gap insurance provider and ask them. In most cases ( again you need to check with you provider) there is certain criteria that your vehicle must fall into. The vehicles must be right hand drive. It must have been made for the UK and imported via...
